• AISC’s new President will talk about the vision for the future of AISC, the benefits AISC offers its members, it’s new marketing plan and an overview of the new AISC Marketing Bootcamp.
Panel Discussion: How can AISC better serve its members?
Panelists include:
• Charlie Carter, AISC
• Larry Kruth, AISC VP of Engineering and Research
Mark Trimble, AISC VP of Certification
• 3 CFA members
The panel will explore topics such as: - but not limited to:
1. AISC Certification: How can fabricators better prepare? How can AISC achieve better consistency between auditors? How can fabricators challenge CAR’s?
2. AISC Marketing Efforts: What message is AISC sending to the design community with respect to the value that a fabricator can bring through inclusion in the project team early in the design phase?
3. What can be done to keep structural engineers from waiving certification requirements for a non-certified low bidder of projects specified as a certified job?
4. NASCC Seminar Topics: What topics do fabricators want to see more of? Can we include the types of topics that were previously addressed at the AISC Annual Meeting that was open to all members?
5. Is the AISC Wage Survey every going to be revived?
