See the latest technology at work. We will tour AFCO’s newest plant that primarily works at fabricating plate girders.
Bus Transportation will be provided. Buses will leave from the Capital Hotel promptly at 2:00 PM so please plan accordingly.
As with all factory tours, closed toed shoes (no tennis shoes) and long pants are required.

Lifetime Achievement Award Presentation honoring John Bailey of Prospect Steel

Join us for a night of celebration - celebrating the contributions of John W. Bailey. Channel his spirit with us with dueling pianos, good Manhattans and good music.
The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented in honor of John Bailey at the October meeting. We lost John in 2019, but his contributions to the CFA and the steel industry continue to this day. If ever there was a legend of steel, it was John Bailey. John saw the future of our industry unlike anyone we have ever met---when you tour Prospect Steel, you will see a state of the art facility using technology many of us are just beginning to adapt. Except John brought it to Prospect many years ago.
The greatest quality John brought to our industry was his desire to mentor a new generation of steel fabricators. For those of us in the CFA, John was an open book who would share his knowledge and wisdom in order to better our organization and our industry. John was a man with thousands of stories and he shared them all with a smile on his face. He was a fierce protector of his friends and did so with passion and integrity. As a long serving board member of the CFA, we relied on him to steer us in the right direction.
This award is important because it highlights for the rest of us the high bar set by John – and shows us reasons to get involved, contribute and stay active in order to support the next generation of steel fabricators. John W. Bailey, thank you for teaching us to be better fabricators.
